The AGD 306 is a smart FMCW radar designed to make vehicle movements at traffic control installations more efficient. The design is robust, cost-effective and highly configurable, making it suitable for multiple Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) management applications.

This compact new radar benefits from ‘trickle-down’ technology from AGD’s proven range of leading-edge speed enforcement solutions.

Configuration is easy with the unique WiFi AGD Touch-setup, which allows users to set and monitor the radar’s performance wirelessly from a smart-phone or tablet without any proprietary software or app.

The AGD 306 is the most compact wirelessly configurable FMCW traffic control radar available. It has outstanding detection performance based on accurate range measurement and target tracking. Low power consumption (50% less than the previous 206 series) and excellent rejection of spurious inputs can boost the performance of traffic control installations, making them safer, greener and more efficient.

Multiple ITS applications

The 307 is a compact Doppler vehicle radar which operates in the K-Band at 24GHz. It is designed to be robust, cost effective and highly versatile offering outstanding detection performance for multiple Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) management applications. Configuration of the unit is via a set of user selectable switches or RS422. Detect state is returned via a switched relay or opto isolator output. RS422 versions provide a serial interface for parameter setup and for vehicle speed outputs.

This product has been designed for the detection and monitoring of pedestrians and cyclists crossing the road at signalled installations and other applications where the detection of moving pedestrians is required.

The 326 allows optimisation of the crossing phase, giving back more green time to traffic. AGD Touch-setup provides safe, easy remote set up via a smart phone or tablet.

Suitable for stand-alone use or deployment as the ideal combination with AGD641 or AGD645 kerbside detectors for intelligent, high-performance 24m wide crossings.

Vehicle Actuated Signs

The 332 ultra-low power true ranging radar is specifically designed to mount externally above  the Vehicle Actuated Signs (VAS) as the primary source of detection.

Unlike traditional CW Doppler radars for sign driving applications which have no ranging capability, the new 332 has a full multi-target acquisition platform. This provides accurate target range determination, fast update rate and utilises a cut-down version of AGD’s special enforcement based speed measurement algorithms.

For the VAS system designer this means that the total system power can be better managed and reduced more effectively than using traditional CW Doppler radar by only activating the sign when it is needed.

AGD radar is mounted on existing roadside poles or gantries, crucially at a 30o angle. The additional capability to operate at a > 2-metre offset, while maintaining a 6-metre plus mounting height, ensures reliable operation in managed motorway scenarios and ALR (All Lanes Running) schemes.
